de lanzamiento, la pintura de Leopoldo Aguero nos proyecta fuera de tanta monòtona
gravedad cotidiana para instalarnos en una òrbita dònde la amistad entre el espacio, la
lìnea y las hormigas es posible.
La danza en torno al alca, la mistoriosa migraciòn de las polillas en los plenilunios.Ante una pintura que tanto tiene
de operaciòn màgica asombra tanto casi que el pintor decida desde afuera, con las
seguras armas del oficio, esa otra màs secreta decisiòn que viene del instinto, èse
oràculo zigzaqueante que en cada cuadro propone una enigmàtica respuesta a las preguntas
del deseo. El equilibrio en su forma màs ardua, da a las pinturas de Aguero la exacta
tensiòn que las mantiene vivas en su acuario. Su arte nace de fijar el instante, sin que
cese la vida, de que todo estè allì latiendo en el exacto centro del cristal de roca. Un
vaivèn de la tela boca arriba, y ya la tinta puebla la nada. Pero el rabdomante conocìa
la vena del agua, esas manos orientaron sus criaturas con la certeza de una larga vigilia.
Por eso,creo, hay en èsta pintura como una felicidad profunda, un sentimiento de
conciliaciòn y de encuentro. Los menudos seres que la habitan levantaràn sus tiendas y
seguiràn a nuevas aventuras, pero cada etapa del viaje estuvo marcada por una estrella
fiel, tuvo el sabor de la fruta mordida a mediodìa y el temblor del hombre ciando llega
el instante de elegir y siente el temible, el delicioso privilegio de su libertad como un
viento en plena cara. Naciò en Buenos Aires, el 12 de Febrero de 1.924. Primer viaje a
Europa.
Reside dos años en Parìs. Retorna a Argentina. Profesor en la Academia de Bellas Artes
de Buenos Aires. Realiza el mural "Cristo en el monte de los Olivos", Iglesia
Parroquial de Olivos. Viaja al Japòn, dònde reside dos años, dònde estudia filosofìa
oriental. Integra la comiciòn organizadora de las cuatro exposiciones de pintura y
escultura latinoamericana en el Museo de Arte Moderno de Parìs. Comisario Argentino de la
Bienal de Venecia. Presenta "Le Parc" que gana el primer premio internacional.
Exposiciòn en el Museo Nacional de Caracas, Venezuela. Conferencia inagural del
"Primer Congreso Internacional del Discapacitado", Unesco, Parìs. Regresa a
Buenos Aires con su esposa, la escultora Monique Rozanès. Conferencias en la biblioteca
Teosòfica de Buenos Aires. Libro "Del Escrito" Editado por la escuela Freudiana
de Buenos Aires, "La montaña y su dibujo" ediciòn bilingue, español-francès.
Bornat , Parìs. Recibe el premio Palanza en Buenos Aires. Recibe la Condecoraciòn
"Caballero de Artes y Letras" de Francia. Co-fundador de la "Regiòn

Through a subtle launching-rampo artifice, the painting of Leo Aguero projects us
ourside all this monotonous daily gravity, putting us into an orbit where friendship
between space, lines and ants is possible. Dancing around the ark. A mysterius migration
of months in full moons. In front of moths in full moons. In front of a painting which is
a near as could be to a magical process, we are almost astonished that the painter, from
outside, with the safe weapons of the trade, makes another more secret decision, which
comes from instinet, a zig-zagging oracle, which proposes in each picture, an enigmatic
reply to the questions of desire. Balance in its most arduous, to Aguero´s pictures the
exact tension which maintains them alive in his aquarium, the rythm that the discret
breathing of plants repeats. His art is born from fixing the moment, without life ceasing,
when all is beating in place, in the exact centre of the rock crystal. A coming and going
on the canvas from top to bottom, and already, colour fills the emptiness, rythmically
establishing its tents on timeless white sand. But the soothsayer knew the veins of water
and his hands directed the creatures with an assurance born of ling vigilance.
That is why, there is,I belive, in this painting something of deep happiness, a feeling of
reconciliation and encounter. These tiny creatures that live there wil strike camp and
continue towards new adventures. But each stage of the journey wil have been marked by a
faithful star, will have had the taste of fruit crunched ar midday and the quivering of a
man at the moment when he must make a choice and when he feels, the formidable, the
delicius privilege of his freedom like a gust of wind in his face. Born in Buenos Aires on

medal in France. Co-founder of the "Regiòn Cultural Sur" (Cultursur) in

Europe. Honorary member of the "Franco-Argentina Studies Forum" Commemorative
medal awarded for his mural painting in the Sabta Fè Gallery, Buenos Aires. Takes part
(on a cultural level) in the International Fair in Caen, dedicated to Argentina.
